Plans for 2025
I’ve been a bit unmedicated and fallen behind here, but nevertheless it is time to review how 2024 has been for this site and what is hopefully in store for it in 2025.
2024 obviously saw the creation of this site. I have been toying with the idea of creating a site for some time, but I never really had any idea of what type of site I wanted to make. As 2024 it started to become more and more obvious what was needed and that led me to create this. In the last few months of the year I was able to create a rudimentary bodily autonomy resource list and start creating an in depth directory of 2SLGBTQIA+ resources. As I continued working on the state 2SLGBTQIA+ resource lists I started to refine them in how they are organized. I am working on them alphabetically and If you compare the Colorado page with the Missouri page I think you will agree that there has been quite the improvement. Overall though I did not get quite as far as I had hoped in 2024, but 2025 will make up for that.
So, what do I have planned for 2025? My first goal is to finish up the 2SLGBTQIA+ resource pages, and then to update the older pages to the improved layout of the newer ones. Next, I will be adding a section on disability resources that will be the same format as the 2SLGBTQIA+ resource pages, and I will also be adding disaster relief resources. I think that for the time being I will be removing the news section. I do not currently have the time to dedicate to it in order to make it what it needs to be. Another section that I am considering adding is an events section that will be listing pride events in all of the states and territories that I can find. If I can get all of that done my stretch goal is to start adding Canadian resources and resources for immigrants, especially undocumented ones in the US.
In addition due to the dynamic nature of these resources I will be trying to stay on top of any changes or new resources as they occur. If you notice that anything is out of date, missing, or incorrect I have created ways to submit feedback to get that rectified on the main page and any feedback at all is greatly appreciated!
There are a lot of challenges ahead, not just for this site, but for this nation as a whole and marginalised communities in this nation specifically. Building and maintaining community will be key for our preservation, and with this site I hope to facilitate that by making it as easy as possible to find find the resources that are building and maintaining those communities. I know that this is not the only site with this goal, but in my opinion there needs to be many sites like this so that they can be as easy to find as possible.
